The North End

High quality trail riding on the north side of the forest this last weekend. These trails don't see much traffic, and the traffic they do see does a fine job of stirring up plenty of roots and rocks and quality corner shaping. These are the only "moto" trails you will encounter in Capitol Forest that could be described in some sections as "loamy". Similar to MP8 on the dark side, but with more DH flow and more technical. This is one of the few areas in Capitol Forest that still feels adventurous to me. Not knowing for certain exactly where you are is ironically liberating. No confines of familiarity to trap the psyche in safe, dull comfort - nothing but undefined potential all around. Dream land. And not another single crown mountain bike for miles.

  2. Get ahold of me before you go out. I've got a better route in mind than the one Matt and I did. You'll be stoked.

  5. next round you should hit up the old red trail #50 descent/now known as 'orv park tie' trail. 1000 feet in two miles adds blisters to your endorphins...
