Yeah, The headtube is pretty tall so it's hard to get a low bar height. I do have a spacer under the stem though. Although I am noticing that I like my bars a little higher these days, so I may still go a touch higher. Kona is actually coming out with a production steel AM 29er hardtail in the near future that is set up for an internal style headset.
This will be my everything bike, including XC races, super d races, epics, laps on the new trail, ect. It weighs around 27lbs.
What is the bar height?
ReplyDelete40 inches.
ReplyDeleteSame bar height as my tracer with a 150mm fork. Like the poo-poo brown and the low placement of the Kona sticker. Get that hanger. Lets ride.
ReplyDeleteHow much does she weigh? Is that your new SuperD slayer?

Talked to a Kona rep today and it looks like a month or more for the geared dropout. Looks like it will be a single speed for a while.
ReplyDeleteBuy a file, a drill press and a chunk of Boeing Surplus aluminum.
ReplyDeleteI'm actually thinking about taking it to a machine shop. But if it's going to cost $100 i'll have to wait.
ReplyDeleteThe new Kona is now being turned into a rigis single speed. My new frame will be here next week! It's a real AM HT this time!
