On a side note, I want to start planning a day trip to somewhere semi close to get some good riding in soon. My bike is almost complete (i'll post pics asap) and I am craving some technically flowy singletrack! I am thinking Galbraith or Sandy Ridge. I would say Duthie but i'm not sure how much trail riding there actually is there. I'm thinking Dec. 11th or 12th, or, 18th or 19th. Just one day. Let me know who is interested and what date works best. I prefer the day that has the best weather forecast. Have your all mountain bike ready to ride!

Norco may lose its Ugliest DH Bike title in 2012!!!

After producing the ugliest DH bikes on the market the last couple years, Norco appears to be developing a new DH frame and they are now at risk of losing their Ugliest DH Bike title once this proto goes into production in 2012. More from Dirt Magazine here:

How is this for funny...this is my first blog foray ever! Michelle and I just got back from Moab a couple of days ago after spending a week riding our Niner Air9's. We had a blast riding and relaxing a ton, but I could not help thinking how the trails would be on my new Norco 'Obi-Wan' Shinobi. My toes are crossed for delivery next week so stay tuned for an update on the bike. Anyone hear a loud BOOM last night?

Brand new 2011 Revelation on the Tracer turned out to be a dud. Felt like the Flood Gate was cranked up..... Going to bypass RS for the warranty and go straight to PUSH. $219 for a full rebuild with PUSH gutss and tuned for my svelt 185lb geared up. Helluva deal.

Man I can't wait to get my new ride going! Even though it looks like hell outside I am still craving some trail riding BAD! My custom powder coated Kona Unit 29er should be ready to roll in the next couple days. Virgin ride will be in P.A. this weekend. Stoked. I'll post pics soon. -Matt
