Jeff Cook has likely brush cut more miles of trail than anyone has or will this year. He is even Strava(ing) his cuts. Next time you are out on a purple(green) trail, and you are able to see the trail or notice you are not getting your arms ripped off by salmonberry or blackberry, he is likely to thank.
There have been many other volunteers out cutting this year who also deserve some credit.
And! DNR has had crews brush cutting this year too. At one time this was common in Capitol Forest - DNR brush cutting. It is great to see DNR back with the labor resources.
Capitol Forest is getting better every year.
