Mima Falls Loop Mother Trees

When I was reading John's post about mother trees a couple weeks ago, these two douglas fir trees near Mima Falls immediately came to mind. Two ancient firs who are definitely worthy of mother status, and if at all possible protection. Capitol Forest is a tree farm, but somehow these century old wise ones have survived multiple harvest cycles. It would be nice to figure out how to make sure they survive the next harvest cycle, and beyond.

And yes. Those are the now obsolete and banned by Interpol, the NSA, CIA, EPA, KGB and the International MTB Fashion Police - 26" wheels. There they are, in their native Capitol Forest habitat. Old(2013). Race losing. Poor performing. Antiquated and technologically inferior.
An MTB refuge. Looking for asylum. How far to the Equadorian embassy?
